Mission & History

The mission of the Lebanon & Sweet Home Farmers’ Markets is to facilitate the provision of healthy, locally-grown fresh foods and horticultural products to all residents of Lebanon, Sweet Home and surrounding areas, to diversify, strengthen, and make more resilient the economy of the Lebanon & Sweet Home area, and to enrich the Lebanon & Sweet Home area’s uniqueness and charm. Producers and vendors of locally-grown produce and value-added food items will find a supportive outlet for the sale of their goods.

Sweethome Market is located  at the City Hall parking lot, 12th and Kalmia, in Sweet Home on Tuesdays from June through September, from 2pm to 6pm.

Lebanon Market is located at the corner of Main and Grant st., in Lebanon on Thursdays from May through October, from 2pm to 6pm.

Both Markets are open rain or shine.

The Sweet Home Farmers Market was started in 2007 by a tiny group of farmers and local food producers who wanted to support local farmers and their Sweet Home community and to give consumers access to locally grown ingredients. Since that time the market has grown into a core group of approximately 10 to 12 vendors. Since in late 2009 we have been able to accept Senior and WIC coupons. We also accept Oregon Trail (food stamp) cards. We have received several grants which have allowed us to both promote the market and to offer expanded educational events for our market customers.
